Registered Massage Therapy

Our everyday life often finds us in habitual patterns of movement and poor posture. The habits in our everyday life often show up in the body as pain, tightness and stress.

Registered massage therapy is an effective treatment to remedy these everyday stressors. Massage therapy aims to reduce tension and tightness in the soft tissues of the body, reduce inflammation, improve sports training
and performance. It effectively addresses acute and chronic pain conditions.

Treatments often provide immediate relief from symptoms as well as welcomed relaxation for the mind and body.

Beverley brings a wealth of experience to her treatments. She started her health care path as a shiatsu practitioner. She then added Manual Lymphatic Drainage as she believes the immune system is incremental in keeping us well.

She also specialized in care for those who have lymph nodes removed or radiation as a prevention or care of lymphedema. Rounding out her professional skills she studied Registered Massage Therapy (RMT),

Shiatsu combines massage with deep stretches and acupressure to restore balance and alignment. These treatments can provide you with deep healing and relaxation.

MLD is the gentlest form of massage. Therapeutically it is used to treat lymphedema, fluid retention, post surgical recovery, sinusitis and post viral recovery. It can be used as preventative medicine to clear the lymph nodes and support general health.

Beverley is currently offering Registered Massage Therapy and Lymphatic Drainage. She uses focused massage therapy and Shiatsu techniques to address musculoskeletal and neuromuscular issues. Her treatments aim to get clients into a deeply relaxed state where muscle tension and pain melt away.

My massage therapy journey has given me a deeper understanding and appreciation of the body.  It’s a medium to understand the body’s intelligence and complexities. When the body sends messages that something is out of balance it can show up in many ways whether it be emotional, physical, or physiological.

In our culture there is an overall theme of overtaxed nervous systems creating a chronic stress response. In my treatment I see how massage is very powerful on the nervous system on reducing this stress response and creating the relaxation response to then also help bring back the inner state of balance.

I enjoy learning about the body from different perspectives. This allows me to have an open mind on my approach to healing and enables me to create a unique and effective treatment plan for you.

Providing guidance about ones body is a very important element in my practice so there is a better understanding about the messages your body is giving you. I look forward to being a part of your support system, guiding your body back to balance.
